On June 8, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck the Philippines province of Sarangani on the island of Mindanao, causing catastrophic landslides, infrastructure collapse and evacuations. Without available roads and bridges, heavy cargo is limited in making necessary deliveries. In addition, impact zones are without electricity, running water and internet.
ReachGlobal Crisis Response is working with long-term partners at the Evangelical Free Church of the Philippines (EFCP) to support local churches and pastors on the ground. The EFCP has no churches in this area, but they have identified a local network of churches to partner with this response. By coming alongside these communities in crisis, we position the local church as a beacon of hope and build strong relationships for future church planting efforts in the region.
ReachGlobal Crisis Response considers this a long-term opportunity to support existing church partners and assist in planting new churches. We need your prayers and financial support to sustain this response.
Pray
- For unity among the EFCP pastors who will be spearheading this response.
- For meaningful connections in the affected regions with the network of impacted churches and in the local communities they serve.
- That God would be glorified and His kingdom expanded.
