Traditional seminary education is often out of reach for many ministry leaders due to finances, a lack of free time and life circumstances. This is especially true for church leaders who come from ethnically diverse backgrounds. As a movement, the EFCA takes joy in its doctrinal fidelity and its increasing diversity. To glorify God by multiplying transformational churches among all people, we’re raising up well-equipped disciplemakers, regardless of background, to share the gospel.

EFCA GATEWAY provides a low-cost pathway to theological training for leaders. Offered in-person and online, in both English and Spanish, this program is accessible and available for all people.

Here is how the program works:

Students meet approximately three hours a month for twelve months

In between scheduled classes, students engage in self-paced learning as they read, study and write papers based on the EFCA Statement of Faith

Additional courses cover topics like Christian mission, urban ministry and more

Studies of future demographics are clear—the United States is growing increasingly diverse. This is a gospel opportunity. As we continue to invest in diverse leaders, GATEWAY will provide a means for them to bring theologically sound teaching to their blossoming churches.

With an investment of $100,000 annually, you will provide course material for students and offset the cost of the EFCA’s director of multicultural ministries. Your investment in GATEWAY brings the hope of the gospel to the fastest growing demographics in America.
